My mind is spinning with ideas and everywhere I look I see possibilities of creating more different and especially authentic South African Felt food items.

And in the end, after all my fighting and all his determination to give me uphill. HE turned out quite spectacular. Hannah, who drew him, would surely love him to bits. She was very happy with how he turned out  and I am sure he would be loved and looked after.

I sincerely hope, he doesn’t cause trouble in Hannah’s room. She had better keep an eye on !

Here is another something new from Klippie’s Creations.

My daughter loves to play in her play-play kitchen and most of all she loves to serve everyone imaginary tea. So after doing a bit of reading online, and a lot of cutting, and stitching. Felt play food came to have a place in our home. It has been such a hit here, that I have decided to make it available to others.

The Felt Zoo cookies are my personal favourite.

Each and every item created so far, was made without any patterns.  The patterns might possibly come later and hopefully there might soon be some patterns available for those who want to try their hand at sewing their own felt food. But for now the items on the Felt Play food page, is available direct from Klippie’s Creations or if you reside in Nelspruit from the lovely Coffee shop on Brenda st. Eat, Pray and Love.

Go have a peep, and be tempted, it is the only food you will ever buy that would not go straight for the hips…

The joy of being  little. The one moment you are a Ballerina in a soft pink Tutu and the next you can be a Superhero in a Spectacular Black cape.

Abi is having fun in some of the nice things I have made for her new Class Dressing up corner. Saw the kids fighting one morning over one or two items in the dressing up box. And yes, of course this won’t stop them fighting but it seemed the right thing to do. I love enabling kids to see the wonderful places their imagination can  take them. And I am sure the Superhero Cape in particular will give them all unique special powers.

Abi’s power was definitely speed, couldn’t even get her to stand still for another photo. But then I could have changed the shutter speed on the camera …

The cape is made from Black and yellow satin with a satin edge binding in black. The tie around the neck is a broad satin band with a narrow strip of Velcro to tie it together. Thin enough Velcro so that little fingers can loosen it and that it won’t be a problem when the cape is pulled from the back.

With the logo, I chose not to go with the  regular Batman insignia, because I hate commercialism and branding, so I opted to tweak the logo a bit to add in the school flair. Spent some time digitizing and creating a new logo but it is worth it. Now that the cape is done, I have also decided to add the Superhero ABC logo on my blog as a free download for personal use.

Just bear with me until I can  figure out how to upload and put it on the web to enable easy download.

The tutu is lovely and short as apparently for ballet the girls are allowed tutu’s as long as the Ballet teacher can see their legs properly. Made from different shades of pink tulle and a slightly stiffer white netting to give it body.

The tutu’s can be made in any size, colour scheme and length, so ideal for Fairy skirts, princess parties or even a Kitchen tea (Hen’s Party).

Capes and Tutu’s will now be available for order from Klippie’s Creations. Any colour scheme and Personalised Logo can be created.
